School Leadership![]() Dr. Dana Corcoran, Principal
Dr. Corcoran joined Immaculata in 2009, with more than 20 years of experience. Previously, she taught in K-8, launched a school for students with special needs, and worked in administration. She holds a BS in Elementary Education (minor in English Literature), MS in Special Education Learning & Developmental Disabilities, and an MEd in Educational Leadership. She also recently completed her PhD in Education Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in K-12 Leadership. Mrs. Corcoran is truly passionate about serving every child to the best of his or her ability, with an educational philosophy of “every child can learn." She has dedicated time, resources, and teacher training toward the goal of making all of our diverse learners successful, bringing Immaculata to National Blue and Green Ribbon acclaim and the first middle school program in the state to receive AdvancED STEM Certification, while also expanding our arts program. As an innovative and forward-thinking leader, Mrs. Corcoran has been recognized outside our school community by the NC Music Educators Association as Honor Administrator and the National Catholic Board on Full Inclusion as the recipient of the Dandy Award.
