Who is the HSA Board?
The Home & School Association (HSA) Board is composed of current parent and guardian volunteers, along with school staff. Board members work together to lead the development and execution of HSA initiatives. All efforts are designed to support and align with the mission of Immaculata Catholic School.
Is the HSA a separate entity and does it function as its own 501(c)(3)?
No. Unlike PTAs, the Home & School Association (HSA) is not a separate legal entity and does not operate under its own 501(c)(3) status. Instead, it is supported by parent volunteers and operates under the guidance of the Pastor and Principal. Events and initiatives are funded through a school-determined budget and previous HSA fundraising efforts.
Who can volunteer?
We encourage all enrolled families passionate about supporting our school community to volunteer in the work of the HSA.
Are there any requirements?
Anyone volunteering in the school while children are present must complete the Level C Volunteer form linked.
Can you give me an example of some of the events the HSA has traditionally supported?
Throughout the year, the HSA sponsors events that strengthen our school community, including—but not limited to—Back to School Night, the Family Dance, Book Fair, Bingo Night, Teacher Recharges, and Teacher Appreciation Week.
How can I contact someone on the HSA Board?
Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about HSA are encouraged to email hsa@icdurham.org.
