"We arrived in Durham two years ago with plans to relocate after a year. But after our son's first year at Immaculata was done, we just couldn't do it--we were so impressed with the care he had been given. The patience and commitment that his teacher had shown both him and us left us amazed and thankful. I knew this was not a good school but a GREAT school! And with that I knew I could not relocate--we would not be able to find something as special as ICS."

Daily life at Immaculata
Early Childhood Center, Primary School, and Intermediate School
8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
7:35 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.
Doors open at 7:15 a.m. for all students. We encourage students to arrive early so they can transition smoothly into their school day.
After School Care
The After School Program, The Eagles Nest, operates from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and provides an academic and social learning experience for students. Children eat a healthy snack, do homework, play outside, enjoy planned activities like story time, music, arts and crafts, or relax at the end of a structured day.
Students wear uniforms to keep the focus on personal qualities of each student and to identify all students as members of a unified community.
Snacks and Lunch
Students should pack a healthy snack each day. For lunch, milk is available daily for a nominal fee. Students can either bring lunch or order it through the School Lunch Program.
We highly value the roles of fresh air and physical activity in the learning environment. Students in all grades enjoy daily outdoor recess (weather permitting) at least once a day in order to get fresh air, talk to friends, and engage in play.
